Practical, neuroaffirming support for parents and caregivers.
Transition Planning Webinars
Schools are getting ready for 2027 now.
Don't wait until December and January to start the conversations!

Overview
This webinar is designed specifically for this time of year — when schools are already having important conversations and making plans for the year ahead.
For parents and caregivers preparing a neurodivergent child for Prep, school entry or the early years of primary school, this session will help you understand what transition really involves and what you can start doing now, rather than waiting until the end of the year.
You will learn practical ways to:
- understand transitions through the lens of a neurodivergent learner
- gradually prepare your child for new routines, environments and expectations
- build essential independence skills before school starts
- reduce uncertainty through visuals, visits, practice and predictability
- identify the important information your child’s school needs to know
- work in partnership with the school while planning for next year is underway
- know who to speak to, what to ask and what to share
- develop a gradual, realistic transition plan that supports your child over time
The goal is to give you, your child and the school time to prepare well — rather than trying to put everything in place in December or January when it is often too late.

Overview
This webinar is designed specifically for this time of year — when schools are organising transition days and making important decisions and planning for the students who will join them next year.
For parents and caregivers preparing a neurodivergent young person for high school or a new secondary school, this session will help you understand what makes this transition different and what you can start doing now, rather than waiting until December or January.
You will learn practical ways to:
- understand the transition to high school through the lens of a neurodivergent learner
- gradually prepare your young person for new routines, expectations and increased independence
- practise essential skills such as timetables, changing classrooms, organisation, transport and managing belongings
- prepare for less structured times such as lunch breaks, before school and moving between classes
- identify your young person’s strengths, support needs and important “golden nuggets”
- work in partnership with the school while planning for next year is underway
- understand who to contact, what to ask and what information to share
- support your young person to build self-advocacy and know where to go when they need help
- develop a gradual, realistic transition plan that makes the unfamiliar more familiar
The goal is to give your young person, your family and the school time to prepare well — before the first day of high school arrives.
