We’re kicking off the new year with a range of fun, inclusive activities for children and teens at Making Connections Toowoomba!
As always our groups are kept intentionally small, supported by our experienced facilitators, and designed with neurodivergent learners in mind.

🍪 No-Bake Cooking (Primary School)
Dates: Tuesday 13th & Wednesday 14th January
Times: 9.30am to 11.30am
Ages: Grades 1 – 6 (siblings welcome)
Facilitated by: Occupational Therapist
Cost: $115 per session (all inclusive)
Activity: A fun, hands-on session making delicious, no-bake treats. Perfect for kids who love the kitchen!
Recipes are different each day so you can attend one or both.
Siblings are welcome.
Note:
All participants must be safe around food equipment and able to participate without individual support.
🎨 Craft (Primary School)
Ages: Grades 1 – 6 (siblings welcome)
Dates: Thursday 15th January
Times: 9.30am to 11.30am
Facilitated by: Occupational Therapist
Cost: $90 per session (all inclusive)
Activity: Creative fun with guided projects designed to build imagination, fine-motor skills, and teamwork.
Siblings are welcome.

🐉 Dungeons & Dragons — One-Shot Adventures
Ages: Grades 7-12
Dates: Tuesday 13th Jan, Wednesday 14th Jan and Thursday 15th Jan
Times: 1pm to 3pm
Facilitated by: Provisional Psychologist
Cost: $90 per session (all inclusive)
Activity:Jump into the world of DnD with short “one-shot” adventures—no long campaigns needed!
Choose to attend one, two, or all three 2-hour sessions. Perfect for both beginners and returning players.

🐾 Animal Club (Tweens & Teens)
Ages: Mixed ages, typically upper primary – high school (siblings welcome)
Date: Thursday 15th January
Time: 1pm to 3pm
Facilitated by: Occupational Therapist
Cost: $90 per session (all inclusive)
Activity:Meet and learn about real animals, explore animal-themed crafts and activities, and share your love of creatures great and small.
Please note:
Our programs are designed for participants who can engage in group activities without individual support.
Other:
Animal Club sessions may include visits from animals such as rescue dogs or other small animals under staff supervision. For the safety and wellbeing of all participants and animals, participants do not bring their own animals to session.

💎 Rocks, Gems & Treasures (All Ages)
Ages: Open all ages
Date: Tuesday 20th January
Times: 1pm to 3pm
Facilitated by: Autism Consultant
Cost: $90 per session (all inclusive)
Activity: Discover, polish, and display your own shiny treasures! A calm, hands-on session for curious minds.
Siblings are welcome.

🧁 No-Bake Cooking (High School)
Age: Grades 7 – 12 (siblings welcome)
Dates: Tuesday 20th January & Wednesday 21st January
Times: 1pm to 3pm
Facilitated by: Occupational Therapist
Cost: $115 per session (all inclusive)
Activity: A relaxed, social cooking session—no ovens needed! Great for young people who love creating (and eating) their own treats.
Recipes are different each day so you can attend one or both.

🧙 Learn to Be a Dungeon Master
Ages: Grades 7 – 12
Date: Two sessions - Tuesday 20th Jan and Wednesday 21st Jan
Times: 1pm to 3pm
Facilitated by: Occupational Therapist
Cost: $90 per session (all inclusive)
Activity: Learn world-building, storytelling, and how to guide your players through epic quests! A two-session workshop for teens who want to learn how to lead their own DnD adventures.
