Fun Holiday Sessions for Kids & Teens — A Great Way to Check Us Out!

All sessions are small-groups, supported by our experienced facilitators, and designed with neurodivergent learners in mind.

  • πŸͺ No-Bake Cooking (Primary School)

    🚫 FULLY BOOKED


    A fun, hands-on session making delicious, no-bake treats. Perfect for kids who love the kitchen!


    Different recipes each day. Join us for one or both sessions.

    Ages: Grades 1 – 6 

    Group numbers: 4 maximum

    Times: 9.30am to 11.30am

    Cost: $140 per session (cost includes  food and recipes and ensures professional delivery and small group numbers)


    Note

    Siblings are welcome. 


    All participants must be safe around food equipment and able to participate without 1:1 support.

  • 🎨 Craft for Primary School

    TWO PLACES LEFT!


    Creative fun with guided projects designed to build imagination, fine-motor skills, and teamwork.


    Facilitator: Nikki Esplin (Occupational Therapist) 

    Dates: Thursday 15th January

    Ages: Grades 1 – 6 

    Group numbers: 8 maximum

    Times: 9.30am to 11.30am

    Cost: $90


    Note: 

    Siblings are welcome. 


    Parents and support workers do not attend. All participants must be able to participate without 1:1 support.

  • πŸ‰ Dungeons & Dragons β€” One-Shot Adventures

    THREE PLACES LEFT!


    Jump into the world of DnD with short “one-shot” adventures—no long campaigns needed!


    Choose to attend one, two, or all three 2-hour sessions. Perfect for both beginners and returning players.



    Facilitator: Darcy Goodall (Provisional Psychologist) 

    Dates: Tuesday 13th January, Wednesday 14th January and Thursday 15th January

    Ages: Grades 7-12 

    Group numbers: 5 maximum

    Times: 1pm to 3pm

    Cost: $90 per session


    Note

    Parents and support workers do not attend. All participants must be able to participate without 1:1 support.

  • 🐾 Animal Club (Tweens & Teens)

    🚫 FULLY BOOKED


    Meet and learn about real animals, explore animal-themed crafts and activities, and share your love of creatures great and small.



    Facilitator: Nikki Esplin (Occupational Therapist and Animal Rescuer) 

    Dates: Thursday 15th January 🚫 FULLY BOOKED

    Ages: Mixed ages, typically upper primary – high school 

    Group numbers: 6 maximum

    Time: 1pm to 3pm

    Cost: $90


    Note: 

    Siblings welcome.


    Our Animal Club sessions may include visits from rescue dogs, under staff supervision. While animals are selected carefully and all care is taken to ensure a safe and positive experience, Making Connections Toowoomba holds no responsibility for any allergic reactions, scratches, bites, or injuries that may occur. 


    Participation is at each family’s discretion, and children must be calm, responsible, and able to follow facilitator instructions to ensure the safety of both participants and animals. 


    We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment, so please advise us of any allergies, phobias, or sensory sensitivities on the registration form so we can provide appropriate supports.

    Discover, polish, and display your own shiny treasures! A calm, hands-on session for curious minds.
